Car owners are looking to try some of the New Apple CarPlay with improved features changing with iOS May 13, there is less time to wait for it to be accepted.
One of the closest differences to CarPlay is the ability to transfer the iPhone screen to both screens of the vehicle at the same time. I think Spotify is running on its main infotainment screen while Apple Maps is displayed on the digital device panel behind the wheel or in the headboard display. Sounds good? Well, sadly, none of the cars on the road these days may support this feature, either.
Symbols reached 11 of the major car manufacturers for the CarPlay update. Most of them claimed that their vehicles were compatible with the updated version of CarPlay, including the ability to support a variety of screen sizes. But none of them said they couldn’t support a multi -platform at this time.
Here is what he told us:
Honda: «For Honda training, our single-use cars are off the screen. Well, iOS 13 of the new CarPlay works across vehicles, regardless of the screen size of our cars. 🙂 »
Toyota: “Yes, it works depending on the size of the screen. In addition, we offer support for a new multi-tasking interface in CarPlay, which allows multiple applications (maps, sounds, etc.) to be displayed on the same screen at the same time. Right now, our vehicles don’t have many displays. “
GM: “All GM vehicles that are CarPlay -enabled will support the iOS13 update.” Do you work on multiple screens? “We don’t have any details to share beyond what I’ve posted. Watch out …”
Fiat-Chrysler: “Any FCA vehicle with CarPlay support can run, so all of our 2017 or new vehicles are included.” Do you work on multiple screens? «There will be more on this later. »
Hyundai: “With iOS 13 we have support for all of our different sized devices, including the New Palisade which has a large 10.25 screen (which looks good!). I just tested it again. The screen display (a bunch of screens in this example) it is not currently supported – it is the only face of Main Avascular Necrosis. »
Ford: «All Home Appliances for ONE 3 [Ford del nombre de la marca para su sistema de información y entretenimiento] Cars in the field and new ones will be compatible with Apple’s new iOS 13 interface. » What are multiple screens? “I don’t know about the availability right now, and I can’t talk about future product plans.”
Volkswagen: “Of course, iOS 13 updates to CarPlay are being introduced to OCU, even for larger generations of vehicles that have the App Connection.” There is no answer to our multiple monitoring screens.
BMW: «BMW and Apple CarPlay cars will support the compatibility of the new version of Apple CarPlay in iOS13 when it is released. No refurbished car is necessary. ” There is no answer to our multiple monitoring screens.
We are still waiting to hear from Mercedes-Benz, Ferrari, and Volvo.
We also hear some people complaining about their cars, not being able to keep up with their phone software updates, and it’s very clear to complain. It’s in the car companies tried to hold Apple and Google over the years, believe that they will create automotive technology that competed with the mobile phone industry for ease of use and performance. Now, we’re seeing Consumers throwing in the towel and admitting that their customers like their phone in their car.
One problem that the car industry is attracting is software overhaul (OTA). Legacy Customers has been able to follow Tesla, which has long ruled in offering OTA updates to its customers in exchange for everything from its advanced driver assistance, system to the design and appearance of screen displays pa. GM was the first car manufacturer to use an OTA system behind Tesla. Ford also said it will begin rolling out soft computer upgrades for 2020 models.
It doesn’t help Tesla owners who want to use CarPlay, however, because the company doesn’t support it.
