It’s lazy to introduce a new dark mode for the desktop sections of your workspace chat board. The new dark mode feature of the desktop will be available for all tablets today, allowing Windows, macOS and Linux users to transition from the traditional light mode available in Mangere.
Slack enables a variety of dark modes of all previous sidebar themes and adds your own “Nocturne” dark mode theme that can be placed on the desktop and mobile. It’s been several months since the feature came out on iOS and Android versions of Slack earlier this year.
“The Dark Mode is important to most people,” says George Zamfir, Product Manager at Laziness. “It’s ideal for working at night or in low light, and we know there are a lot of factors that need it such as poor vision, dizziness and other eye problems to get involved.”
You will need to update or upgrade your Slack desktop application to see the new dark mode options in the themes of the settings section.
